Sermons

Sunday morning at 11 AM, please join us in the sanctuary or watch Pastor Marissa Carver’s livestream worship on the church Facebook page. Later in the afternoon, a video of the service will be available on our YouTube page.

If you want to watch an earlier sermon, visit the Library.

Sunday Worship

We offer a traditional worship at 11:00 each Sunday morning.

We love having babies and children join us for church. Many of the younger ones stay in the sanctuary until children’s time, then go upstairs to the Sunday school and nursery area for supervised play and a snack. We also keep “wiggle bags” in the sanctuary with crayons, stickers, and coloring books for children.

South Frankfort Presbyterian Church is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A., through the Mid-Kentucky Presbytery.

For Children

  • All classes for children and youth meet upstairs, starting at 10 AM.
  • The Children’s Class (Pre-K through 4th grade) is using a new curriculum for Sunday School this year – Follow Me. With this curriculum, children spend four units on a theme and explore it by looking at different Bible stories, playing games, and doing simple crafts. Room 208.
  • Children’s church (during regular worship) meets in Room 209. Children will be in the sanctuary for the start of worship and will be invited to go upstairs for children’s church after the Children’s Time in the service. Children are always invited and welcome to remain downstairs for the entire worship service if they desire.
  • The Nursery is in Room 207.
  • The Middle School Class (5th – 8th grade) is also starting the Follow Me curriculum this year and will focus on the same themes as the younger children but with discussion and activities geared more towards youth. This class meets in Room 205.
  • High School youth are invited to join the middle school class or either of the adult Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings.

For Adults

  • The Counterpoints class, taught by Bill Kirkland, meets in the Fowler Conference Room. The class studies and discusses books of theological interest, many with contrasting points of view. Room 107.
  • The Faith in Action class, taught by Steve Pace, meets downstairs in the Youth Room and usually studies a book of the Bible.
