FELLOWSHIP

While all activities at church offer opportunities for fellowship, SFPC offers several regular activities to help bring us closer together.

Pastoral Fellowship

SFPC’s Pastor Marian Taylor is a founding member of the Be the Bridge group of Black and White clergy who have been meeting monthly for two years as part of the Frankfort’s Focus on Race Relations (FORR) Church Committee. This one-minute video expresses their wishes for a united community. Learn more about FORR.

Presbyterian Women

The women’s organization gives women an opportunity for Christian growth through fellowship, study and service. Church membership is not a requirement. The umbrella organization, Presbyterian Women, holds regional meetings once or twice each year, but most involvement happens in small working units called circles. Circles usually consist of about ten to twenty women who meet monthly for ten months of the year using the designated Bible Study Book. Circles also provide an opportunity for getting acquainted with other women and serve as a support group. Come join us! Make our circle of circles complete!

Church Women United

Church Women United is a racially, culturally, theologically inclusive Christian women’s movement, celebrating unity in diversity and working for a world of peace and justice. Founded in 1941, Church Women United is: a movement representing Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox and other Christian women; biblically based, shared Christian faith; organized into more than 1,200 local and state units working for peace and justice in the United States and Puerto Rico; supported by constituents in state and local units and denominational women’s organizations; impassioned by the Holy Spirit to act on behalf of women and children throughout the world; and recognized as a non-governmental organization by the United Nations.

The organization meets four times a year: in March for Prayers for Home and Abroad; in May for May Friendship Day; in September for Human Rights, and in November for Community Day. They are hosted by various churches in Frankfort and Franklin County.
